Keepie — Privacy Policy
Last updated: August 9, 2026
Keepie is a Chrome extension for AI-assisted bookmark save, organize, search, and insights. Your bookmarks stay in Chrome. AI requests go only to the provider and API key you configure.
Data stored on your device
- Settings, API key (local storage; optional obfuscation)
- Tags, summaries, organize markers, snapshots
- In-progress organize preview until you apply or clear
Data sent to AI providers (when you use AI features)
- Default: page/bookmark title and URL
- Optional: short page text snippet if you enable it in Settings → Privacy
- Organize: titles, URLs, and folder paths for bookmarks in the scope you selected
We do not run the AI backend. Your chosen provider’s policy applies.
What we do not do
- No Keepie account or cloud bookmark sync
- No sale of personal data
- No upload of full bookmark tree or browsing history to Keepie servers
History permission
Used locally to show “most visited bookmarks” by matching bookmark URLs with Chrome history. History is not uploaded to Keepie.
Retention & uninstall
Extension data is removed when you clear extension storage or uninstall. Uninstalling does not delete your Chrome bookmarks.
